I’d never heard of timut berry, which is a peppercorn, apparently. They recommend scallops, but that requires trumpet mushrooms to make it vegan. I wanted a store-free day.
There are few recipes that use this combo, which makes it fun to try!
I found a French chocolatier who made truffles, so I went that route. I chose the super easy recipe from School Night Vegan. Simple and they came out pretty!
I don’t think I would have liked the recipe without the hit of the spice. I makes my simple truffles taste fancy!
