24 Days of Spice | Day 21 - Fine Herb Seasoning

Fine herbs apparently means parsley, chives, and tarragon.

I have to admit I was impressed by the freshness. The herbs were green, not brown, and decently sized.

One thing I realized on Day 21 is that the time and effort that goes into following cookbooks and recipes exactly pays off in the everyday.

I wanted to use leftover pasta and beans and decided to steam some sweet potatoes to go with it.

This is where my revelation came in. I had previously made Cuban-Style Roasted Sweet Potatoes from The Kind Life and remembered loving the flavor. So after steaming the sweet potatoes and seeing the green spice, I immediately thought to add some lime.

Adding just a bit of olive oil and salt to the whole dish, it was by far once of the best. Zesty and fresh, even if half of it was leftovers.
